“A Matter of Faith” with Stan Strembicki
Saturday, April 8th with Stan Strembicki
1:30 – 2:30pm
Stan Strembicki’s work is exhibited widely in the USA and Europe, and is part of major collections and museums in the Midwest and southern United States. He has a long history with the city of New Orleans, having first visited the city in 1984. He has photographed the last 24 Mardi Gras events in New Orleans and in 1996 lived in the French Quarter during a sabbatical leave. His work in Post Katrina New Orleans began 30 days after the hurricane hit the city and continues to this day. His current work in the wetlands of the Louisiana Gulf coast overlapped with the BP oil spill in ironic similarity to his work in New Orleans.
