The International Photography Hall of Fame and Museum is the only Hall of Fame for Photography in the world. Its purpose is to educate the public about photographic history; collect, exhibit and preserve historical items and images; and honor significant contributors to the evolution of the art and science of photographic imaging. IPHF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit.

 

Front Office Manager Internship

The International Photography Hall of Fame and Museum seeks to hire a part-time Front Office Manager Intern. The Front Office Intern will staff the museum’s front desk and manage various museum operations, including visitor communications, some finances, and the museum gift shop.

Position Description:

  • Opening and closing the museum, implementing the proper procedures, including lighting and security.
  • Communicating with visitors and members by greeting them in person and through e-mail and answering the main museum phone line responding to questions and directing as necessary.
  • Processing admission fees, credit card donations, and gift shop and ticket sales using Gift Logic register software.
  • Maintaining gift shop area, including inventory re-stocking and new inventory entry in software.
  • Producing financial reports, including gift shop sales reports, admission income and statistics, membership dues, and donation reports.
  • Balancing the cash register weekly, producing necessary deposit slips.
  • Maintaining database of email contacts, regularly updating MailChimp with new visitor and member emails.
  • Setting up/breaking down tables, chairs, etc. for special museum events and assisting with any related preparation, including preparation of name badges, refreshments, and hanging of signage.
  • Assisting with exhibition installation/deinstallation as needed.
  • Maintaining shared internal IPHF documents on GoogleDrive.
  • Assist with advance preparation for and attend annual Induction and Awards Ceremony event.
  • As May Arise.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree or demonstrate comparable work experience.
  • Have a passion for photography and the arts.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be a driven, self-motivated, and organized individual with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrate a proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite (including Word and Excel) and GoogleDrive.
  • (Not Required) Demonstrate a proficiency using GiftLogic (or comparable register software) and PastPerfect (or comparable donor management software).
  • Have part-time availability during the week from 11am-5pm.

Work Hours: Tuesday – Friday 11am – 5pm
24 Hours a Week

Hourly: $18/Hour

Reporting:

The Front Office Intern will report to the CEO and President of IPHF.

Education Assistant Intern
Part-Time 

The International Photography Hall of Fame and Museum is seeking a part-time education assistant to help with live/virtual lectures and workshops. The ideal candidate for this position is passionate about art, has strong interpersonal skills, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and follows direction well.

Position Description:

  • Opening and closing the museum, implementing the proper procedures, including lighting and security
  • Setting up/breaking down tables, chairs, etc. for special museum events and assisting with any related preparation, including preparation of name badges, refreshments, and hanging of signage
  • Communicating with visitors and members by greeting them in person and answering the main museum phone line responding to questions and directing as necessary
  • Introducing and moderating IPHF events when necessary
  • Processing admission fees, credit card donations, memberships and gift shop and ticket sales using Gift Logic register software
  • Assist with advance preparation for and attend annual Induction and Awards Ceremony event
  • Other duties as may arise

Qualifications:

  • Possess or working on associate’s or bachelor’s degree or demonstrate comparable work experience
  • Have a passion for photography and the arts
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be a driven, self-motivated, and organized individual with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Demonstrate a proficiency using Word, Excel, and Zoom

Work Hours: Varied

Have part-time availability during the week, some Saturdays and Evenings for workshops, lectures and events.

Hourly:  $15/Hour

Reporting:

The Part-time Education Assistant Intern will report to the Director of Education.
