“Civil War Photography” with Scott Angus

Scott Lawrence Angus MA MFA leads the photography and digital art program and Maryville University. He holds his Masters in Photo Theory from the University of New South Wales and his Terminal Degree from California State University. His work has been exhibited in Sydney, New York, Santa Fe, Los Angeles, Denver and in St. Louis. In a twenty year career as a humanitarian photographer he worked for a number of NGOs including Operation Uplift, and Mending Faces. His main area of research is on Civil War Photography and inpaticular the hidden history of the LGBT heros. His photography documents the sites of forgotten history and appropriates images of the past to tell stories of those forgotten.
