Virtual Lecture Series: Chasing the Light with Jack Curran – A Fireside Chat

Join landscape photographer, Jack Curran, for an online, interactive presentation of his lecture Chasing the Light. Learn photographic techniques with opportunities for questions and discussion online. 

A fireside chat with a friend, albeit without the fire, Jack will be sharing black and white photography from his travels and portfolios over the last five years. He will answer questions while sharing the details and his vision for the photograph, technical information, and any challenges he may have encountered and overcome along the way. You will see and hear about recent work from Argentina, Chile, Italy, The Pacific Northwest, Iceland, Grand Tetons, The Badlands, The Rockies, The Southwest, Death Valley, Florida, South Carolina, Joshua Tree, Yosemite, and a few close to home favorites.

IPHF’s Virtual Lecture Series will be hosted on the Zoom Video Communications platform. Links to meetings will be provided upon registration. Technical assistance will be available at IPHF by phone and email.

Jack Curran is a landscape photographer based in St. Louis, Missouri. Jack has developed a deep and connected passion for the natural world and expresses this relationship through his genuine love of Black and White photography. For Jack, it’s all about the “Lure of Light”. Whether chasing the extreme light of a mountain storm or weathering the chill of a winter snow event, it’s all about chasing the light.

Jack’s photographs have won numerous international awards, been exhibited internationally, and published in a variety of media publications.
