Wanderings through the American Southwest

Featuring the Photography of Jacob Buchowski

May 4 – June 25, 2022
Pocket Exhibition and Print Sale at IPHF

Jacob Buchowski’s love for the American Southwest landscape began when he first moved with his family from his native Poland to Utah. Early travels to Death Valley, Bryce Canyon, Zion, Arches, Capitol Reef, and Canyonlands left an indelible impression. He was drawn to the vistas that seemingly went on forever, the intricate patterns carved in sand and stone, the dramatic skies seen from the high plateaus, and the mystery of ancient native sites. He turned to photography to capture and express the awe and reverence he felt for the place. Many of these photographs are included in the new exhibition Wanderings through the American Southwest, a limited engagement at the International Photography Hall of Fame.
