KAREN KOTNER
A graduate of Washington University with a degree in Deaf Education and St Louis University School of Law, Karen Kotner has always been interested in art. She first picked up a camera when she retired from Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in 2005 where she served as Vice President of Benefits and Mergers and Acquisitions.
Karen joined the St. Louis Camera Club in September of 2005 to learn more about photography and to meet people with similar interests. She has served the St. Louis Camera Club in many capacities including President during the Club’s 100th Anniversary Year.
She has participated in photography shows at The Center for Creative Arts -COCA curated by Michael Eastman, the Chesterfield Arts Center, The International Photography Hall of Fame and Meramec Community College and has a permanent installation of more than 50 photographs at the Woman’s Health Center at Barnes Jewish Hospital.
Karen likes to photograph many subjects but is particularly interested in people, patterns, street and travel photography.
