TIM HERMANN
& HE JIAN PING
Tim Hermann was the Chairman & CEO of Collins & Hermann, Inc. until he retired in 2021. Tim led the company for 33 years and was among the longest-tenured CEO’s in the St. Louis Area.
Under Tim’s leadership, Collins & Hermann expanded its business and participated in many significant projects in the Midwest region including Busch Stadium, the Gateway Arch, Kansas City Airport, and Lambert Airport. Tim has also been the driving force behind Collins & Hermann supporting charitable giving as part of our Good Corporate Citizenship program including promoting cultural exchange between the United States and China through the Sister City Program between St. Louis and its sister city Nanjing, China.
He Jian Ping met Tim while he was working in Shenzhen and she, a middle school teacher from Nanjing, helped assist him with his Mandarin. They quickly fell in love and became partners. Soon after they started dating JP encountered an old newspaper article about the Sister-City relationship between St. Louis and Nanjing, which was the first program of its kind between and US and Chinese city.
JP and Tim worked enthusiastically with the Sister-City program to help bridge the gap between these two countries and their people. Thanks in a large part to this power couple IPHF was able to bring the 40th Anniversary Nanjing–Saint Louis Sister City Photographic Retrospective to St. Louis in 2019.
