The highlight of the night is the induction of the 2025 Class of Honorees—David Burnett, Keith Carter, Adger Cowans, Sheila Metzner, Lee Miller (posthumous), and Stephen Shore—whose artistry and vision have shaped the history of photography. IPHF will also present its Visionary Award to acclaimed South African photographer Zanele Muholi (they/them), whose groundbreaking work celebrates identity and challenges injustice. The Evolution of Digital Photography: Photoshop, Lightroom & Beyond
Saturday, 10 AM - Noon, October 11, 2025
Indy Art Center
Join us for a special in-person lecture and live demonstration with Jeff Schewe, an award-winning advertising photographer and a pioneer in the development of Adobe Photoshop, Camera Raw, and Lightroom.
Schewe will share stories from the early days of digital photography—even before Photoshop existed—and demonstrate how he uses these tools to create and refine his fine art photography. He’ll also discuss the rise of AI-generated imagery, offering his perspective on where photographers should (and shouldn’t) embrace these new technologies.
With over 40 years of experience in both commercial and fine art photography, Schewe has left an indelible mark on the field. Recognized as an Epson Stylus Pro, an Apple Master of the Medium, and a Photoshop Hall of Fame inductee, he continues to inspire through writing, workshops, and exhibitions, including his acclaimed Black and White in Antarctica series.
