Silver Seas:

AN ODYSSEY

THE UNDERWATER

PHOTOGRAPHY

OF ERNEST H. BROOKS II

The photographs in the Silver Seas exhibit are an extraordinary result of an exceptional career. Ernest H. Brooks II, often referred to as the Ansel Adams of underwater photography, spent some 40 years documenting the world’s ocean environments. Brooks’ photographs provide a view into an underwater world that most people will never experience. They portray man peacefully coexisting in the undersea realm, enhancing the notion that humans are the only possible advocates for the sea. Roughly 35 beautifully reproduced black and white photographs, viewers can enter an underwater seascape that will leave them with a newfound appreciation for the world beneath the waves.
